5G have been busy following our 9-Step Writing Process to create the best narrative pieces we've ever written. The students participated in a 'free writing' activity to begin the brainstorming process where they wrote continuously for 8 minutes and if they got stuck they wrote the alphabet until an idea popped into their head and then they continued. From this, we were able to get lots of interesting themes to inspire our Planning stage. We used a big A3 Narrative Planner and an accompanying Character Development Planner before embarking on our Drafts. Students edited, conferenced, marked and published via Book Creator, and used the photo editing app Aviary to turn their stories into proper ebooks.
