These two prezi's are a quick insight into how I use tech for educational purposes in my room. I think it's important to remember that it isn't the actual use of the technology that is the special event; it's the memorability of the learning that occurs in the process of producing works across subjects areas, using a variety of technology to support your specific learning goals.
So, while popplets look cool, what's their actual purpose? While recording podcasts and making SonicPics are fun, what are the skills required? These questions are ones that teachers must consider when developing units of work that incorporate edtech.

My presentations...

This Youtube video was from a presentation I was unable to attend in person at a TeachMeetWA event in March 2014. I hope you find it to be a useful introduction to creating a class website for educational purposes.

Enjoy!

"Create your own Class Website"

"Pinterest in the classroom"

I created this presentation for a course I was lucky to participate in for Exemplary Educators at CEOWA. I enjoyed sharing my love of Pinterest with others in an educational context. I hope you do too.

The buttons to the left demonstrate how some of this has been achieved.
